I am new to integrating veganism into my lifestyle and that of my family. I am curious as to why vegans wouldn’t want to use products with beeswax as I have recently become a beekeeper for numerous reasons.

Hi Rachel.

Because of the scope of Veganism some Vegans are fine with beeswax and others are not. Personally, we are on the side of the fence that believes beeswax is not vegan. Unfortunately this product was an oversight by one of our writers and we are in process of replacing it..

I became interested in the physician’s formula mascara based on your description. Unfortunately it contains beeswax and glycerin (could be animal could be vegetable origin), so I’m concerned it isn’t vegan. Thoughts?
