news flash :: white art museum kittens caught!

Caught and safe, at last! The elusive Lloyd Hall "kittens" turned out to be one petite mama and one kitten.
Remember the white kittens I was trying to trap and wound up with Punkin instead? Another cat rescue girl managed to trap them – bless her kindness – and they turned out to be a very petite mama and kitten. As luck would have it, they seem to be friendly. The angel who trapped them is trying to socialize them. If you're on Facebook, you can see more photos of the kitties here. If you want to adopt either or both, please let me know.

Apparently some people have also dumped domesticated rabbits here. White and black ones. Easy for predators to spot. This makes my blood boil. Hello? Think before you adopt; bringing a pet into your home is a long-term commitment. These are living beings and not garbage that can be tossed. At the very least, if you cannot keep a pet for whatever reason, please do not "dump" them. Please try to find it a home or take it to a shelter, preferably a no-kill shelter.

End of rant. Let's take time to revel in this happy ending. Let's celebrate what happens when you give a shit, roll up your sleeves and actually do something to help an animal. For these white kitties, a happier life has started, especially considering that Philly's cold weather will soon kick in. Thank you everyone who has ever done something to help a stray animal.

If you are interested in adopting, Punkin, who is a real loverboy, you can find more info here. I'll post more info on the white kitties once I learn more.
